It's that time of year to celebrate Mackay's WinterFest 2025. This year's annual event is dedicated to Walt Hamby who brought Santa & candy to their homes Christmas morning. He kept this tradition alive for many years before his passing earlier this year. This is the 100th anniversary of this tradition and commemorative coins celebration this tradition will be on sale during the WingerFest parade following the tree lighting at Mackay City Hall.

Free Admission! It is here! The largest vendor show in the valley is this Saturday, November 22nd from 10AM to 4PM. Come join us for the Christmas Bazaar! Admission is free. Lunch is available, many items to choose from. Santa will be here! AND a rummage sale in the ag shop with gently used items and tools! Please share this post with your friends. Free Admission! THE CITY OF MACKAY’S ANNUAL SPECIAL EVENTS
AUGUST 16TH THROUGH AUGUST 24TH

If you live in Mackay, Idaho, or might be planning to visit the weekend of Saturday, August 16th and Sunday August 17th, the city of Mackay, Idaho’s Best Kept Secret, is hosting a variety of events which will provide lots of fun for the entire family.

The action begins with the 9th ANNUAL MACKAY MINI RODEO at the Mackay Rodeo Grounds starting on Saturday, August 16th at noon and continues on Sunday, August 17th beginning at 10:00 AM. Lost Rivers Economic Development will serve breakfast & beverages for guests at the Sunday event.

On Wednesday, August 19th through Sunday, August 24th, the City of Mackay and the Academy of Model Aeronautics welcome everyone to the 7th ANNUAL WINGS OVER MACKAY FUN FLY IN at the Mackay Airport. This unique event features demonstrations of large and small remote-controlled aircraft, warbirds, and jet turbines.

On Saturday, August 16th, the 6th ANNUAL MACKAY SHOW & SHINE EVENT will showcase classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles at Mackay’s Tank Park from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This year’s event is a tribute to Leonard Wall. Lost River Economic Development will serve breakfast and lunch for attendees.

You might also want to visit MACKAY’S SUMMER MARKET, held each Saturday at Bob Burroughs Park from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM
