As we near America’s 250th birthday this 4th of July, please take time on Monday to observe Memorial Day by pausing for one minute at exactly 3:00 p.m. to honor and mourn the military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

You are invited to our annual 19th century Christmas party! Historic dress is encouraged, but by no means necessary. The party will be taking place 2 - 4 PM this Sunday, December 7 at the historic Gates House. 344 Port Rd., Machiasport, ME. It will be a festive and family, friendly event, that everyone from the community and beyond is welcomed to join. we will play Christmas carols on our antique pump organ and will have lots of festive snacks and tea that is sure to make you feel jolly! Everyone is welcome!
