This is a post we never hoped we would have to make, but we feel it is important to address the situation openly and honestly.
First and foremost, we at the Winnebago County Ghostbusters would like to offer our sincere apologies. We recently became aware that the actions, values, and conduct of one of our members did not align with the standards, principles, and expectations of our organization. As a result, several individuals and groups were hurt, and actions were taken on our page that do not reflect who we are as a community organization.
Effective immediately, this individual has been removed from the Winnebago County Ghostbusters and all associated accounts. We have personally reached out to as many affected individuals and groups as possible to apologize directly, but we also want to extend that apology to our community as a whole.
We are committed to fostering a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone. If you have been affected by this situation, have questions, or would like to speak with us directly, please do not hesitate to reach out.
