Our focus will always be safe development here at HBC. We often talk about self care to the kids so if any parents have any questions on how to make sure proper rest and care at home with natural soreness or acute pain in any part of the arm/shoulder/legs/groin/hip flexor etc please don’t hesitate to reach out to myself or Chance and we will always make sure they are taking the proper approach to making sure they recover safely. We are more worried about the development for their future over the overall success at this young age. It’s important to us to allow them to grow into their bodies and make sure they understand how to take care or them during that process.

Research shows increased risk of injury for young athletes specialized in baseball. But for many, early specialization is key to gaining a competitive edge.

Parents: Tonight will be our last indoor practice of the season. Pending weather we will end up outside as soon as it’s safe and dry enough to continue our practices at Schoonmaker Park on Ventura BLVD. I will be in contact via text for that information as soon as we get word on when we can start using the fields there.

Last nights hitting circuits went well above what we were expecting for our first hitting practice. Let them boys know we appreciate all that hard work and we will continue to keep making them better each week.

Practice tonight at the High School. Trying to get kids there by 6 if possible to start stretches before we do hitting circuits so we can get as much done with the little bit of time we do get for practices. Also want to have a small parent meeting so if we can get as many parents as possible that would be amazing. Want to go over a nice fundraiser for our team to build up a little account since we were left dry for this team. We have some fun incentives for the kids as well for this fundraiser.
