One of the greatest gifts you can give to me is remembering Andrew. As we approach year 7 of his angelversary, I fear he is fading from people’s memory. Life does go on. I get it. The casseroles and memorial flowers are long gone. But, he was once here. My son. And he gave so much joy to so many in his short life.
Today, he was remembered. My sweet friend, Kelley Mitchell, texted me this picture that came up in her memories. Kelly, her grandson, Zack, who was a close friend of Andrew’s and Andrew at the Peachtree City Elementary Thanksgiving feast in 5th grade. This simple text lifted my heart this morning. Andrew was remembered. And I was told he was remembered. And I’m overcome with love, happiness and gratitude. Please always share Andrew with me. Remember him. Say his name. Don’t ever be afraid to speak of him to me. I will always carry on his legacy but it’s also important that others do, as well.

Twenty two years ago, today, you entered this world shining so much light. The world instantly became a brighter place. You are missed and loved so much, Andrew. Happy Heavenly Birthday, my sweet boy. Shine your light down on us today. We will be throwing kindness around like confetti!

You're trying to manage all the same stuff everybody else is able to manage but marbles keep falling out of your hands.
And people are giving advice like, "Well, why don't you just put them in a bag?" BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE A BAG!
You are struggling to carry these marbles while you see people around you easily managing their marbles. But, the fact that you can even hold on to that many is incredible because you do not even have a bag, BUT YOU ARE STILL TRYING!
That is ADHD.

School is starting soon for many kids. I often see parents asking how to communicate with their ADHD child’s teachers to help them better understand and communicate with their child. This is a wonderful bio to give to teachers. I know it has helped many!

Andrew’s Legacy

Andrew Wesley Tracy rushed into the world on August 13, 2003 and spent the next 15 years, 4 months and 20 days living his life to the fullest, until January 3, 2019, when his life was cut short from a tragic accident in his home.

Andrew truly was a child of laughter. His humor and smile were contagious. His presence lit up a room. His kindness and tender heart were apparent to anyone who was lucky enough to meet him. Andrew was truly the most amazing soul I’ve ever had the privilege to know. He was a kind hearted spirit, who always wanted to make people smile and laugh. He always had a smile, quick wit and an infectious laugh. He was the comedian of our family.

Andrew had severe ADHD. One of Andrew's biggest symptoms was severe impulsivity control. He had a dark humor, seemed to always naturally gravitate to "risky" things and simply put, his brain could not comprehend consequences to his actions. However, when he would get in trouble for his impulsivity, he had true remorse and would mentally scold himself for the situation. He truly could not think of consequences from actions.

Andrew's Angels purpose is to honor the memory of Andrew Tracy, who spread kindness and laughter throughout the world in his short 15 years of life.
