Two ways to support your library -- today at the library and tomorrow at the Earth Day Expo.

1. Stop by the library and leave a note for staff on the posters outside.
2. Join us at the Lyons Earth Day Expo tomorrow.

At the Friends booth:
** Book Recycling – Donations Welcome
** Bring up to one box of books and give them a second life in our community.
** Your donations directly support library programs, services, and access for all.

As National Library Week continues, we’re feeling the kindness and appreciation of this community!

Remember to stop by the library and add your notes of gratitude, memories, or encouragement to the library staff.

If you’re looking for another way to support your library, join us this Saturday at the Lyons Earth Day Expo in Bohn Park (10am-2pm).

The Friends of the Lyons Community Library will be hosting a table, and we invite you to:
** Recycle some books – Donations Welcome
** Bring a box of books your family is ready to pass along (limit one per family).
** Browse a curated selection of Earth Day and kid-friendly titles.

All donations support library programs, services, and community access, while keeping books in circulation for the annual Friends of the Library book sale.

National Library Week is here this week – and we’re celebrating in Lyons!

This year’s theme is Find Your Joy — and we’re showing appreciation to the people who make the library such a special place.

Starting today (and continuing all week), we’re inviting the community to stop by and share a note of thanks and appreciation for our library staff.

Look for the posters outside the library and add a message, a thank you, or a moment the library has meant something to you. Stop by anytime to add your note...posters will be outside all week.

🍽️ Grab some dinner (dine in or take out)!! Oskar Blues will donate 10% of all net sales today & tonight to the Friends of the Library!

😊 Come connect with other library supporters, enjoy complimentary light snacks, and hear a short update on the Friends’ 2024/25 highlights and plans for the coming year.

📝 A brief business meeting will begin at 6:00 PM. Lite snacks are provided and meals and drinks are available for purchase.

🥰 What a weekend — our Annual Used Book Sale and Teen Advisory Group Bake Sale were a huge success!

📚 Thank you to everyone who came out to shop, snack, and support the library. Whether you left with a new stack of books, a handful of cookies, or just good conversation, you helped make a difference for our community.

💵 All proceeds go directly to the Friends of the Lyons Regional Library District, a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that funds library programs, books, and services.
