Friends of Lyons Regional Library is a nonprofit organization of volunteers supporting the library by fostering public awareness, sharing enthusiasm for learning, and enhancing the library’s service to the community.

Did you know? Books are free at the Friends Fall Book Haul, but if you’d like to support the Friends while building up your reading stack, donations are appreciated!

Suggested donations:
1–2 books: $5
3–5 books: $10
6+ books: $15
Fill a bag: $20

Take what you’ll enjoy. Give what you can.
Donations help the Friends support Library programs, events, materials and other needs.

The annual Friends book sale has a new name!

Introducing the Friends Fall Book Haul, coming to the Lyons Regional Library on October 23 & 24.

We’ll have a huge selection of gently used books for kids and adults, and this year — books are free to take. Monetary donations to the Friends are appreciated and help support our library. When you make a donation at the Book Haul, you also become a lifetime member of the Friends of the Lyons Community Library!

And speaking of books, we already have nearly 90 boxes ready for this year’s Book Haul, so we are not currently accepting additional book donations. We’ll share updated book donation guidelines in November.

The annual Friends of the Library book sale has a new name!

Introducing the Friends Fall Book Haul, coming to the Lyons Regional Library on October 23rd & 24th.

We’ll have a huge selection of gently used books for kids and adults…and this year — books are free to take. Donations to the Friends are optional but very much appreciated to help support our library.

1. Stop by the library and leave a note for staff on the posters outside.
2. Join us at the Lyons Earth Day Expo tomorrow.

At the Friends booth:
** Book Recycling – Donations Welcome
** Bring up to one box of books and give them a second life in our community.
** Your donations directly support library programs, services, and access for all.

Remember to stop by the library and add your notes of gratitude, memories, or encouragement to the library staff.

If you’re looking for another way to support your library, join us this Saturday at the Lyons Earth Day Expo in Bohn Park (10am-2pm).

The Friends of the Lyons Community Library will be hosting a table, and we invite you to:
** Recycle some books – Donations Welcome
** Bring a box of books your family is ready to pass along (limit one per family).
** Browse a curated selection of Earth Day and kid-friendly titles.

All donations support library programs, services, and community access, while keeping books in circulation for the annual Friends of the Library book sale.

National Library Week is here this week – and we’re celebrating in Lyons!

This year’s theme is Find Your Joy — and we’re showing appreciation to the people who make the library such a special place.

Starting today (and continuing all week), we’re inviting the community to stop by and share a note of thanks and appreciation for our library staff.

Look for the posters outside the library and add a message, a thank you, or a moment the library has meant something to you. Stop by anytime to add your note...posters will be outside all week.
