We've added a second session!

Know a teen who could use a breath of fresh air this summer?

Unbridled YOU is a free four-session series for youth ages 12–17 that combines horses, art, and outdoor adventures to help kids build confidence, make connections, and have a genuinely great time doing it.

Sessions run Monday evenings, July 6, 13, 20, 27 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. Spots are limited and it's completely free thanks to support from Boulder County. Complete 75% of the program to be eligible for a $100 gift card.

A huge thank you to the Lyons Backer Football Club and CEMEX for making this year's Second Annual Spring Food Drive such a success.

The Lyons Backers collected an incredible 750 pounds of food for the LEAF pantry, up from 500 pounds last year, and added a $250 cash donation on top of that. CEMEX once again showed up for our community with a $750 matching contribution that will go directly toward stocking pantry shelves.

Together, these contributions make a real difference during a time of year when pantry inventories run low and local families tend to need more support. We are so grateful for your generosity and commitment to Lyons.

Attention Colorado renters: the June round of emergency rental assistance pre-applications opened this morning and closes Wednesday, June 10 at 5 p.m.
This assistance is available to Coloradans who have fallen behind on rent, meet income limits, and are at risk of eviction. Those facing eviction are prioritized. After the window closes, all pre-applicants are entered into a random selection, so make sure you submit before the deadline.

If you need help completing an application or have questions, contact the CARE Center at (303) 838-1200, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or email [email protected].

Wild Choices — New Youth Program from LEAF!
We are excited to announce Wild Choices, a brand new adventure-based program for middle school youth launching this summer!

Adolescence can feel wild. This program is designed to help youth slow down, trust themselves, and make intentional choices while building confidence, connection, and resilience through adventure-based survival skill experiences.

When: Tuesday, July 7 through Friday, July 10, 2026
Time: 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. each day
Where: Bohn Park
Who: Middle school youth (entering or exiting is welcome)
Cost: Free, grant funded

Participants who complete the program will receive a $25 gift card!

Space is limited. We would love to have your middle schooler join us this July.

Big news from LEAF! We have expanded our office hours and are now open Monday through Thursday, 9am to 3pm.

Our food pantry continues to serve the community every Wednesday from 3:30 to 6pm.

With our expanded hours, there are more opportunities to:

- Drop off food donations
- Come in for assistance
- Learn about our programs, including Meals on Wheels, Project Homecoming, therapy services, and basic needs support

Whether you are looking to give or need a hand, our doors are open. Stop by, say hello, and find out how we can help or how you can get involved. We are grateful for this community and everyone in it.
