That’s a wrap on the 100th Annual NYS FFA Convention! Our chapter had an incredible time showcasing our talents and making unforgettable memories.

Here are some of today’s accomplishments:

Agriscience Fair:
Cooper Lancaster placed 2nd in his division—great job, Cooper!

Empire Degree:
Congratulations to Nathan Pelton and Baylei Reed for receiving their Empire Degree, the highest honor an FFA member can earn in New York State. We are so proud of both of you!

National Chapter Award:
Our chapter was recognized as a Gold Ranked Chapter! Our application is now headed to nationals!

Thank you to all of our sponsors and donors who made this trip possible. Your commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders does not go unnoticed!

Our FFA members have had an incredible past two days filled with meeting new people, attending leadership workshops, and showcasing their skills in various competitions!

Here are some exciting updates:

Maple Team:
Braden Bookmiller, Quinn Gay, Zach Wolf, and Baylei Reed placed 3rd in the state!
* Quinn Gay placed 8th in the state individually
* Baylei Reed placed 5th in the state individually

Food Science Team:
Hayden Wright, Alissa Mosquera, Marcus Wood-Asberry, and Mason Gage represented us well. While the team did not place,
* Alissa Mosquera placed 10th in the state individually

Floriculture Team:
Rita Romano, Addesyn Harkins, Cadence Watkins, and Baylei Reed earned a top 10 finish in the state!

🚜🎉 We’ve ARRIVED at the State Convention! 🎉🚜

The excitement is in the air because today we have 3 contests lined up: Maple, Food Science, and Agriscience Fair! Our Lyons FFA members are ready to showcase their hard work and passion!

While not competing, our students are soaking up knowledge in workshops, chatting with other schools, exploring different career fields, and of course, meeting tons of new people! 🌱

Let’s cheer them on as they dive into these awesome challenges and make unforgettable memories! Go, Lyons! 💪

Our students will spend 3 amazing days competing, attending workshops, and making lifelong memories! Did you know FFA has over 700,000 members nationwide? Today, we're thrilled to highlight our amazing FFA president, Baylei! 🎉 As she prepares to embark on her next adventure, we’re excited to share that she will be attending Cornell University to pursue Agricultural Science! 🌱🎓

Baylei is most looking forward to working alongside fellow students who share her passion for agriculture. We know she will thrive in this inspiring environment and continue to make a positive impact in the ag community!

Our FFA chapter had an exciting day at the Finger Lakes CDE Invitational in Penn Yan! Members competed in floriculture, maple, food science, vet science, and junior tool identification, gaining valuable experience as we prepare for the state convention in May.

Our FFA apparel store is now open!!

We offer a wide selection of Lyons FFA apparel, including screen-printed T-shirts, long sleeves, and hoodies, as well as a varied range of embroidered options to choose from. The store will close on February 14th at midnight. Orders can either be delivered to Lyons Central School or you can pay to have it delivered directly to you.
