Did you know that the time of day when you harvest can affect the quality of your produce? Greens should be harvested early in the morning while they’re crisp and saturated. Don’t forget to harvest your garlic scapes if you planted hard neck garlic this year!

We made the trip down to Dudley Greenhouse in Roxbury today. It was soooo worth the drive. They had an amazing selection of plants for sale. The fantastic people at were there to answer all of our planting questions and explain everything garden related. We visited the farm and just got to spend the afternoon with people who love plants just as much as we do! Don’t miss the Lynn Plant Sale next week!

Can you spot the queen?

Our second hive inspection of the season revealed that Cleo is still going strong (and at high risk of swarming…charged queen cells were spotted). The bees we moved into Nike last week have stayed put and are attempting to raise a queen.
