June 15th- Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day

An estimated 5 million, or 1 in 10, older Americans experience elder abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Working together across our networks, we can generate awareness and foster action to end elder abuse. Let’s work to keep everyone safe as we age.

Sincere appreciation for the GLSS staff who dedicate themselves to addressing abuse and neglect of older adults through our Protective Services and Family Abuse Programs. These employees conduct outreach to engage older adults in services, often in crisis situations and make referrals for a wide range of supportive services, while also providing education to individuals and the community to prevent abuse and neglect of older adults. Thank you for all you do!

Grant money available for nutrition initiatives! 🍏

The Phoenix Food Hub and Greater Lynn Senior Services, through the generosity of Mass General Brigham, are inviting community organizations to apply for funding that supports nutrition initiatives and the reduction of food insecurity in Lynn.

Proposals are requested from organizations to provide services to Lynn residents of all ages for the Community Grant Program.

50th Anniversary--Thank you for joining us!

We recently celebrated our 50th anniversary in the company of friends, family, esteemed staff and trustees, as well as our valued supporters and community partners.

We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have achieved this milestone. More importantly, we are deeply grateful for the strong partnerships that help sustain our mission of creating healthier, more livable communities for all.
