In the workshop at Upcycle Unicorn, marine canvas that once protected boats and weathered the sea is given new life through thoughtful design and craftsmanship.
Leftover fabric remnantsâonce set aside not for lack of quality, but because they no longer fit their original purposeâare reimagined into useful, handcrafted items. In this way, both materials and meaning are renewed through a second chance. Through an on-the-job training partnership with The Arc of the Bay, Alexis has been part of this environment. With appropriate supports, Alexis has participated in daily tasks, contributed to the workflow, and engaged in learning new skills within the workplace.
Just as repurposed fabric reveals unexpected value, Alexisâs involvement reflects a simple truth: contributions grow over time when there is opportunity, inclusion, and the chance to participate.
At Upcycle Unicorn, In this shared space of learning and production, Alexis is a valued participant in a process built on respect, development, and inclusion.
We here at Arc of the Bay would like to thank Upcycle Unicorn for your continued partnership, and to our entire community for your unwavering support and investment in our clients and our employment program. We couldnât provide these services without you.
