Congratulations to Benjamin LaBelle from Vermont for being the first Deaf athlete in history to complete the 740-mile solo paddle tour on the canoe trail!
Let's welcome the talented Benjamin LaBelle as the newest Northern Forest Canoe Trail thru paddler! Benjamin completed his 30-day journey today after starting on May 25. Benjamin is a respected paddler in the annual 90-Miler, a three-day paddling race that takes place in the Adirondacks every September. "Can't wait to see everyone!" he texted NFCT after finishing. You can watch Benjamin, who is fully deaf, kick off his journey in this video from the start of the NFCT and 90-Miler.
