Update:

Shout out to Becky with Osage Garden & Produce…. She nursed the practically dead flowers back to life and the City of Lyndon crew picked them up and rehung them.
Best outcome we could’ve asked for.

Thanks all!!!

‼️Please read, we need your help‼️

Have you noticed the flower baskets along Main Street this year?

This is Lyndon Pride’s 2nd year to organize these beautiful additions to our town. We added 10 more baskets this year to accommodate some bare light posts and avoided hanging at a couple of intersections due to feedback from last year.

They are made possible because of a generous donation from Daniel Kjergaard, a long time supporter of our Pride projects.

In addition to that, Becky at Osage Garden & Produce stored the baskets over winter and started the flowers early in the greenhouse.

The City of Lyndon committed to hanging and watering them.

So, a lot of money, time and effort has gone into them.

Sadly, have you seen some are missing???

After noticing some of them looked sickly it was discovered that the roots have chemical burn. Coincidentally, it was also reported to officials that someone was seen pouring something into some of the baskets late at night prior to their decline.

On a positive note - Osage Garden & Produce has volunteered their labor and Becky has been attempting to nurse them back to a healthy state. This is not looking very promising though.

On another positive note - Eric from Neosho Gardens in Council Grove has agreed to donate flowers to refill these baskets for this season.

We love that neighboring communities are supporting our efforts of beautification!!!❤️

We are asking the community to help keep an eye on these and report anything suspicious.

Thank you,
Your Lyndon Pride Team
