This is another hard announcement, but It is with great sadness that we share this sad news that the Wilson Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. has lost another lifetime/charter member who dedicated 20+ years to serving and protecting his community and a past Assistant Chief and longtime President of the Fire Company this morning Herbie Drumheller you was one of a kind with a kind heart for everyone and a charismatic mind, but always put others before you in the Fire service and in life.

You paved the way for so many of us at Co19 in a way that never could be imaginable in today’s Fire service. Co19 would not be what it is today without you and our past leadership that gave us everything we needed to succeed for the future. Your stories of starting out in 1993 as a new firefighter with no idea what you was doing to where you went is something that will resonate with us who worked with and under you as Asst Chief and than President and will never be forgotten.

Nobody loved the fire company as you and you sidekick Bobby did and always made sure you kept up with what was going on everyday and always saying “Keep up the good work guys” “You all are doing a fantastic job”.

In the fire service you always find those few people who are willing to go that extra mile to show or give advise of how things work and or operate rather on a scene or in the office and you was one of those and became a father figure to most throughout your tenor at Co19 and after.

Thank you Herb for all the memories old and new and know at Co19 you will forever be missed my friend. Until we meet again keep that heaven fire department in order, We Love You!

🕊️Rest Easy our brotherhood brother✝️
