Meet Murray the Meadowlands Egret!

The Meadowlands Chamber officially has a mascot, and trust us… you’re going to be seeing a LOT more of him.

Murray the Meadowlands Egret is here to help welcome the world to the Meadowlands as the biggest sporting event on the planet arrives in our backyard. From community celebrations to networking events and everything in between, Murray is ready to represent the energy, hospitality, and personality that make our region special.

You’ll be able to catch Murray at EVERY Flag Cities event this summer, along with appearances at the Meadowlands Chamber 52nd Annual Golf Outing at Glen Ridge Country Club on June 22nd and many more events to come. Flag Cities will bring fan festivals, live entertainment, food, culture, and World Cup excitement across the region as we prepare to welcome visitors from around the world.

Congratulations to the Marriott Saddle Brook on an incredible milestone! 60 years of service, hospitality, and partnership in the Meadowlands Region. As the second Marriott ever opened and the oldest continuously operating Marriott in the world, this anniversary is not only a celebration of a remarkable property, but of the generations of memories, meetings, milestones, and community connections made within its walls.

The Meadowlands Chamber was honored to have Judy Ross and Giancarlo Tetto join the celebration festivities and witness the commemorative ribbon cutting recognizing this historic occasion. It was especially meaningful to reflect on the property’s rich legacy, including a look back at the original ribbon cutting from 1966.

Thank you to the entire Marriott Saddle Brook team, past and present, for six decades of commitment to excellence and for being such an important part of the Meadowlands business community. Here’s to continued success for many years to come!

It was a busy and impactful week for the Meadowlands Chamber’s member-led committees as the Construction Resource Group welcomed attendees to an Open House at MCHQ. The event also served as an opportunity to recognize the incredible community impact made possible through the success of the 2025 Basket Brigade initiative.

We were honored to present donation checks to several outstanding local organizations, including St. Michael's Food Pantry, Military Family Assistance Council Foundation, Meadowlands Family Success Center, Lyndhurst Giving Tree, and North Jersey Friendship House.

The Basket Brigade is an annual Meadowlands Chamber initiative led by Chamber members each fall that continues to grow year after year. What began as a community service effort has evolved into an incredible regional initiative that now helps provide more than 300 local families with a full Thanksgiving meal during the holiday season.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Open House and continues to support initiatives that strengthen our local communities through collaboration, service, and giving back. A special thank you as well to Defined Vending for generously sponsoring the event’s breakfast.

Be sure to keep an eye out later this summer as we officially launch the 2026 Basket Brigade campaign.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Work-Life Balance Seminar hosted by the Meadowlands Chamber’s Professional Women’s Initiative. It was an engaging and meaningful afternoon focused on creating healthier, more sustainable approaches to balancing professional responsibilities, personal priorities, and overall wellness.

A special thank you to our presenters, Pooja Desai of MyKai and Co and Tia Bua, for sharing thoughtful insights and practical strategies on stress management and intentional balance in today’s fast-paced professional environment.

We also appreciate Leah Fairchild of On Purpose Evolution for leading an interactive wellness activity that encouraged attendees to reset, recharge, and prioritize personal wellbeing alongside professional success.

Programs like these reflect the Professional Women’s Initiative’s ongoing commitment to helping our members develop skills, promote leadership, contribute to the community, and network. Thank you again to everyone who joined us.
