Just a friendly reminder about our upcoming Lynden Jr Livestock Post-Fair Meeting on Wednesday, September 10th, at 6:30 PM. We will be meeting at the Lynden High School Library.

In addition to our meeting, we will have all the updated add-on sheets ready for leaders to pick up and distribute.

Swine Haul-In Information – Fair Week Update

Hi everyone,

For those who weren’t at the last sales meeting, I wanted to bring you up to speed on the pig haul-in plan. While I had originally been told all pigs could be hauled in on Monday, it turns out Lacey hadn’t received that information. This caused a few issues, but after some discussion, we’ve reached a compromise.

Here’s the updated plan:

📅Haul-In Date: Monday, August 11th

Loads of 5 or more pigs may haul in.
FFA Haul-In:2:00 – 2:45 PM
4-H Haul-In:2:45 – 3:30 PM (we are ok if were closer to 4pm)

Please ensure your swine exhibitors are present from 2:45 PM until all 4-H pigs are unloaded.

Trailer Instructions:

Entry/Exit through Gate 5 only.
One trailer at a time.

Waiting trailers should line up in the South Kok parking lot.

As one trailer exits, the next will be waved in. If your trailer will be making multiple trips, let me know in advance so I can schedule your first trip at the front of the line.

Barn Decorations:

Swine barn decorations can go up before the fair begins on August 7th.
Due to early haul-in, other decorations cannot be stored in the swine barn.

I’m working with Kristi Harting on an alternative storage option in the goat/sheep barn and will share details once finalized.

Please let me know:

If your 4-H group can put together a large load
-How many loads you'll have
- Name and contact number of the person in
charge of your club’s load
