New Year's Eve Auction Gala 2011 "Praying for a Miracle" This fundraising gala will bring in the new year and bring hope to families dealing with rare diseases. Please check back for updates!

The money raised will further research to find cures for Menkes and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). To put a face to each disease we would like to honor the Langstraat and Demeyer families in their fight to find a cure for Menkes and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). TJ and Melodie Langstraat have son Taysen who battles Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Jeromy and Amy DeMeyer have son Baker who struggles

Please join us Saturday December 31, 2011 for a New Year's Auction Gala brought to you by The Reserve Restaurant Lounge located at Homestead Golf Course in Lynden. The night will be filled with music, cocktails, appetizers, and dancing along with a live and silent auction. Doors will open at 7pm, dress code is semi formal and you must be 21 and over to attend. Tickets can be purchased for $25 and will go on sale mid November. Hey everyone! Its been awhile since i have posted anything but here is a question... Carrie and I (Trent) got together this morning and we are talking about having another gala on New Years Eve. We are still in the planning stages and nothing is confermed yet, but we are wondering if there is any interest in this if we deside to do it again. So like this if you want us to put on another one and want to come and make your nye stand for something. Also if anyone has ideas or stuff they think we shoud have in the auction, or anything to make the night better message me Trent Workentin and let me know thoughts. Thanks

All the money has been collected and the bills have been paid. I am happy to announce that the Praying for a Miracle fundraiser on new years eve raised $30,000!!! I sent the checks off to the charites this afternoon!!! I again want to thank everyone who had anything to do with that great night, from everyone who came to everyone who donated and to each and everyone who helped us make new years eve such an amazing night!!! I have to say It was an amazing feeling writeing two checks for $15,000 today to go to two great charities in honor of two amazing kids who inspired 300 people to come out for a great cause. Thank you is not enough to everyone... -T

If you or someone you know would like to donate money to the cause you can still do so! Donations can be made to the "Praying for a Miracle" account at any Peoples Bank branch. We have already raised an unbelievable amount (final numbers coming soon) but would like to continue to take donations! I feel like i cant say this enough today, I am literally overwhelmed at how last night went.. I want to thank each and every person who had any thing to do with the gala.
