In June Rainbow Squares caravanned to the Square Crows dance in Maltby. It was our largest Rainbow caravan attendance this year with 10 people! We won their banner and Pete won the split the pot! Gaylen Sauve was Calling and this dance was special for Lew & Oren Gaskill in many ways. Gaylen was calling the Sky Valley level dance at the Hayloft in Dec 1996 when Lew & Oren attended it on their first date. This dance at Square Crows was Lew & Oren's last dance (retiring due to health issues) and they wanted to dance to Gaylen's calling for their 30 year anniversary of square dancing and of marriage. "We had a wonderful time and wish to thank the Square Crows, Rainbow Squares, other visiting square dancers, and especially Gaylen Sauve for helping us celebrate 30 wonderful years of Square Dancing. We have made so many fantastic friends in the Square Dance community and will cherish all of you and our memories forever!"❤️
