On behalf of Ten Mile Grange, we offer our sincere condolences and prayers to the Holmquist family.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of Mark Holmquist, who was taken from us far too soon in a hit-and-run accident yesterday morning.

Mark was an integral part of Holmquist Farm and Holmquist Hazelnut Orchards, dedicating many years to helping farm the land and continuously supporting the family business with hard work, care, and pride. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, devoted son, caring brother, and loyal friend whose kindness and smile touched so many lives.

On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the love, support, and kind thoughts during this incredibly difficult time. Please keep our family in your hearts as we mourn the loss of my brother, Mark. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Today was a great day for our annual Ten Mile Grange yard clean-up project. We cleaned up all the pine cones and limbs that fell over the winter. Thank you to all who helped with this huge project that we undertake each year!

🚨🚨BREAKING: NB I-5 south of Bellingham is now open!!!

From WSDOT: FINAL UPDATE: Both northbound I-5 lanes are now OPEN south of Bellingham.

It's been nearly 4 weeks since the March 19 slide. Since then crews have stabilized the slope with 96 steel dowels and hauled enough debris to fill 2 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

At Ten Mile Grange's meeting on March 12th, the Lynden High School FFA AG Issues Team gave a practice competitive presentation to our Grange members in preparation for the State Competition in May in Pullman. The two issues they presented pros and cons for were "Biomimicry in Farming" and "Pets used as Animal Therapy". Ten Mile's Vice President, Allison Wood was instrumental in coordinating this presentation with the FFA group to assist them in their preparation for the competition.

Scott & Ross Wood made and mounted a Bat Condo for our resident Bats in hopes they will relocate out of our attic. We are evicting them from the Grange attic and want them to have a nice new place to live. Scott & Ross then plugged all the access holes into the attic (hopefully) and cleaned the attic out. We are hoping that the resident Bats enjoy their new condo! We used the Bat Conservation International's "Bat Approved" guidelines for construction of this project.
