WE WEAR PINK PURPOSELY !

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
The members of the Lynchburg VA Chapter of The Links, Incorporated are proudly wearing pink to honor the courageous women and men who have faced breast cancer, celebrate our survivors, remember those we have lost, and stand in support of those still fighting.

But wearing pink is about more than making a fashion statement. It's about raising awareness, encouraging early detection, and reminding one another that our health matters!

A Little Pink Reminder:
Take Care of YOU!

Our message is simple:
Love yourself enough to make your health a priority!

As Links, we believe that friendship and service also mean looking out for one another. Together, we can spread awareness, offer encouragement, and help build a healthier community.

We wear pink for HOPE.
We wear pink for STRENGTH.
We wear pink for LIVES touched by breast cancer!

Sharing the awareness is key.

Just as butterflies remind us of growth and transformation, let us remember that our minds need nurturing, too.
Life can be overwhelming, and sometimes the strongest thing we can do is pause, breathe, and give ourselves permission to simply be.
Be gentle with yourself. Check on those who always seem strong. Offer kindness, listen without judgment, and remember that it's okay not to be okay.

Mental health matters every day.

Protect your peace.
Embrace your journey.
Give yourself grace.

Because a healthy mind is just as important as a healthy body.

LYNCHBURG AREA…LET’S GET READY TO VOTE! 🇺🇸

If you live in Lynchburg, Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford or Campbell County, mark these dates for the November 3, 2026 election:
🇺🇸NOW–OCTOBER 31: Vote early in person in the city or county where you are registered.
🇺🇸OCTOBER 23: Last day to register or update your registration to vote a regular ballot. Requests for a ballot by mail must be received by 5 p.m.
🇺🇸OCTOBER 31: Last day to vote early in person, until 5 p.m.
🇺🇸NOVEMBER 3: ELECTION DAY! Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Missed the registration deadline?
You can still register in person and vote using a provisional ballot through Election Day.

Check your registration, polling place and local early voting location at vote.virginia.gov.

Check with your local registrar for early voting hours.

Make your plan, remind a friend and let your voice be heard!
