We recently visited Jaden Nsiah Boateng, a young child whose health has taken a sudden and concerning turn.
1. Initial Concerns:
- Jaden's walking pattern had changed noticeably, raising alarm.
- He was experiencing stiffness in his neck.
- A vein behind his head was pulsating rapidly, indicating potential complications.
2. Immediate Medical Response:
- At St. Joseph's Catholic Hospital, Jaden was administered antibiotics.
- Due to the abnormal pulsation of the vein, a scan was urgently recommended.
3. Referral and Critical Diagnosis:
- Jaden was transferred to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for comprehensive evaluation.
- Doctors discovered that a fluid, which should naturally flow from the brain to the body, was stagnant in his head.
- This stagnation has resulted in the development of a tumor that requires immediate surgical removal.
4. Current Condition:
- The condition has severely impacted Jaden's vision.
- Thankfully, his walking is showing signs of gradual improvement.
