๐ AN OPPORTUNITY FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYERS ๐
We understand that not every student-athleteโs football journey follows the same path. Whether a player is not yet ready for middle school football, was not selected for a school roster, or attends a school that does not currently offer football, we want families to know there is another opportunity available.
Lynchburg United Ramineers Football welcomes players entering 6th and 7th grade, as well as eligible middle school-aged athletes looking to continue developing their skills, confidence, and love for the game.
๐ Practice Location: Heritage High School
๐
Beginning August 1
Monday through Thursday
โฐ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
๐
After School Begins
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
โฐ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
๐ฅ Wednesdays
Our middle school athletes will participate in Film Study & Football IQ Development. Players will learn how to watch game film, recognize formations, understand assignments, and prepare mentally for competition. These are valuable skills used at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels.
๐ Special Opportunity
As we did last season, any player attending Dunbar Middle School or any player who was cut from a Lynchburg City Schools middle school football team will be welcomed at a reduced registration fee of $85 for the season.
๐ Eligibility
Players must not turn 14 years old before the conclusion of the Seminole District season, tentatively scheduled for November 22.
๐๏ธ Competition
Lynchburg United plays under full Seminole District youth football rules that closely mirror VHSL football regulations. Varsity games are typically played on Saturdays against teams throughout the region, following a schedule similar to local middle school football programs.
โ๏ธ League Information
The Seminole District does enforce weight-limit rules for certain positions. While these guidelines rarely impact skill-position players, they are important for families to understand as part of league participation.
๐ค Working Together for Kids
We are proud to maintain positive relationships with local middle school and high school football coaches who share the common goal of developing young athletes. Our focus has always been providing opportunities, teaching fundamentals, building character, and helping players prepare for future success on and off the field.
