What a day to be a Young Marine! Today, we had a very informative K-9 demonstration with Lt. J.A. Bryant and his K-9, SRST, from the Campbell County Sheriffs Department. Lt. Bryant explained the logistics of having a narcotic detection partner, and SRST demonstrated how he can indicate on drugs hidden in a vehicle, as well as obey other commands. We are so grateful to them for volunteering their time!

The YMs also took a practice test to see how much knowledge they have retained from the Basic Guidebook. They are all on track and promotions are in the near future!

Today felt like black flag conditions but that didn’t stop the Peaks view Young Marines from popping sticks indoors as they continue to learn and work on color guard!
