Join us on Saturday, November 7 for a FREE day designed especially for local middle school girls! This year’s GirlZ Day will focus on building self-esteem and helping girls navigate social media, peer pressure, and the everyday challenges they face.

We had an amazing time celebrating Juneteenth at Miller Park. We enjoyed great music, supporting local vendors, connecting with friends, and spending time with our community.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated honors Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, as an historic moment in American history. On June 19, 1865, news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached the last enslaved individuals in Galveston, Texas, marking the true beginning of freedom for all.

We proudly recognize the efforts of our own trailblazing Soror, Opal Lee, the “Grandmother of Juneteenth,” whose unwavering advocacy helped make Juneteenth a federally recognized holiday in 2021.

Today, we celebrate emancipation, reflect on our ancestors’ strength and resilience, and recommit to the work of advancing justice, equity, and unity. Through education, action, and solidarity, we move closer to a world rooted in true freedom for all.

Do you know what today is? It’s our Anniversary!

Today, to celebrate our chapter anniversary, we enjoyed an afternoon downtown. We ate lunch at Waterstone, had dessert at Batter Bar, and then bonded over candle making at Wick and Pour.
