Our fifth graders and PTO leaders sent cards to all of our volunteers and community partners at the end of the school year.

We’re so glad to see these words of appreciation were well received. Thank you again, One Community One Voice Lynchburg, Virginia!

Today, our R. S. Payne PTO leaders invited 5th grade Robert S. Payne Elementary School students to give back before graduating from elementary school!

🎓 Fifth graders from four classes joined together to discuss service and the importance of leaving things better than you found them and creating a legacy for younger students to admire.

They divided into three teams and rotated among stations:

❤️ trash clean up on the RSP property

❤️ designing personalized cards for meaningful teachers and helpful volunteers and local businesses

❤️ sanding, cleaning, painting the little free pantry and little free library near the entrance to school.

❤️ making hygiene kits for unhoused neighbors in the community

It was a special morning and we wish these students the very best in middle school!
