Our Club is fortunate to have the resources to continue helping the non-profits in our area who work on a daily basis to provide needed services and support to our community. At the April Club lunch meeting, we hosted Vector Space . Elise Spontarelli and Mollie Walsh spoke to our Club, explaining the history of Vector Space and outlining the various services they offer. They are a "makerspace and community workshop with the mission to build an open and collaborative community that fosters innovation, creativity, and the pursuit of science based knowledge." Club Treasurer Mike Spencer presented the Club's donation to Elise to show our support for what they are doing.

Our Club is thankful for organizations like Lynchburg Daily Bread who work tirelessly to provide for those in need. They are feeding folks daily! Our Club's support this month came from our members John Bolton, Whitt Clark, and Mike Spencer. The terrific trio rolled their sleeves up and partnered with Daily Bread on Thursday, April 9, 2026, to help with this important work.

The Lynchburg Exchange Club is proud to sponsor this years Lynchburg Police Foundation Golf Tournament. The Lynchburg Police Foundation was created to foster a mutually beneficial relationship with our community and promote excellence in police services by providing resurces to the LPD, supporting LPD personnel, and encouraging citizen involvement in the Department. The Lynchburg Exchange Club honors one area law enforcement officer annually for their excellence in their profession and service to the community, The 2025 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year is Lynchburg Police Department's Raymond Shelton. The list of his accomplishments and successes is long. In his short time at the Lynchburg Police Department, he has become a leader and mentor, addressing the City's violent crime issues. We were honored to award him as our Law Enforcement Officer of the year -2025.
