Did you know about 1 in 6 children in the US have a developmental disability? Common conditions include ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other intellectual disabilities.

Did you also know that Lynchburg Parks & Rec offers programs for people of these communities to meet and create art together at the Templeton Center ? Join us on the 3rd Wednesday of the month for group recreation.

🎨 Get creative at the Templeton Center with lots of upcoming Visual Arts programs! This season, we’re offering acrylic painting classes, oil painting, watercolors, and even two fun craft programs: a DIY Bee Hotel and DIY Pressed Flower Candlesticks!

Good Morning Lynchburg! 🥶 We are still dealing with lots of icy condition in parts of the city. With that being said, the following locations and/or programs will be closed!

Miller Center:
- Open for regular hours Thursday, January 29th but ALL programs taking place here will be cancelled.

Templeton Center:
- CLOSED Thursday, January 29th due to icy conditions. ALL programs taking place at the Templeton Center will be cancelled for today.

Jackson Heights Art Studio
- CLOSED Thursday, January 29th due to icy conditions. ALL programs taking place at the Art Studio will be cancelled for today.

Please continue to stay safe, warm, and stay inside when possible! We hope to resume normal hours at all of our locations soon! Thank you for your patience during this time.
