Yesterday's 2026 Level Up YP Summit, presented by Liberty University, brought together over 100 young professionals from across the Lynchburg Region for a day of learning, connection, and inspiration. I'm so grateful to everyone who made it happen.
Our speakers delivered outstanding sessions on using AI in real-world applications, activating our confidence with only 50% of the answers, navigating the media landscape, navigating continuous change in the workplace, leading from within and thriving through change, and using courtship to collaboration. The energy and engagement throughout the day was phenomenal, and attendees had wonderful opportunities to connect with speakers and fellow young professionals from across the region.
A highlight of the summit was honoring our 2026 Level Up Award winners. These awards recognize young professionals who embody exceptional leadership through their intentional approach to guiding others, their commitment to investing in the growth and development of those around them, and their dedication to making a real, measurable difference in both their workplaces and our broader community. These individuals don't just lead—they lift others up, create positive change, and demonstrate what it means to be servant leaders in our region. Join us in congratulating:
• Ryan Glick, Southern Air
• Sara Nelson, Love Heals
• Stephen Shumaker, Bloom Media Agency LLC
• Katharine Williams, Framatome North America
