From making connections to finding a seat at the table. 💙

SHARE Greater Lynchburg hosted a Nonprofit Board of Directors Meet & Greet at the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance in partnership with YPCV. Through a speed networking format, young professionals connected with local nonprofits to explore board openings and other meaningful ways to consistently engage with their missions.

For many of these young professionals, this event marked the final activity in SHARE’s Nonprofit Board Matching Program before their graduation ceremony in September. The goal is to turn these connections into successful matches and see these emerging leaders officially join local nonprofit boards.

A huge thank you to the amazing partners of the YP Board Matching Program: Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation, Central Virginia Academy for Nonprofit Excellence (CVANE), United Way of Central Virginia, and Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).

We’re excited to see where these connections lead and can’t wait to celebrate these future nonprofit board leaders in September! 🎉
