It was a very beautiful but hot day at the Awareness Garden (AG) for the annual dedication of bricks, bluestones and this year, leaves (soon to be added to the new scuptural trees). The little boy/girl water fountain was the only one with an umbrella today... did you know umbrellas help with shade?! The AG scholarship committee also introduced the five scholarship recipients, three of whom were present. A special thanks goes out to the Lynchburg City Schools Strings group who gave an excellent concert prior to the ceremony. (Please feel free to save photos if you wish).

The Awareness Garden Annual Dedication was well attended by many from the local area. Attendees enjoyed music provided by the Lynchburg City Schools Strings, directed by Ginger Paris. Dennis Roberts, pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church gave the prayer of dedication. Lemonade, cold water, and custom cookies by EC Glass Culinary Class were provided and helped keep everyone cool. The NEW Lalla’s Latte was available at coffee company and tastes delicious! Thank you to all who donated for bricks, stones and leaves. We are proud to honor and remember loved ones who have dealt with cancer.

(NOTE: More photos will be posted soon).
