The IAM 24/7 team is busy serving in El Salvador!

The team was able to be part of the purchasing, packaging, and distribution of food bundles for the kids and families in SOI El Salvador programs. This is one of the most helpful and practical ways the SOI team serves their community so it is a crucial, humbling experience for any missions team to be part of.

Please continue to pray for this team; for God to move, not only in their hearts, but the hearts of those they are serving!

Delayed passports and cancelled flights can't stop this team!

Made up of 14 young men, plus their leaders and Sports Outreach Coach, Kendall Alvey, this team is officially on the ground in El Salvador and ready for a week of service. Please join us in praying for the hearts of this team to grow in love, for the encouragement of the SOI El Salvador team, and for joy and peace to go with them into the communities they get to serve.

Building a soccer program with a winning team takes a lot of time and effort. Sometimes even years before they see their first win! But in Northern India, Coach Muan along with the rest of his coaching staff and team, are quickly tasting victory!

After facing tough losses, and practicing hard after each one, the girls team won their first game! Playing in a tournament with teams that have more experience than them, they were able to advance further than they have been before. Though they lost in the semi-final round, that first win was very sweet and just what this team needed to continue to press on!

This week, members of the SOM Chess Academy in Uganda, under the leadership of Robert Katende, are in India participating in a Chess Olympiad! This is a huge honor for these chess players and shows just how talented they are to be invited to play in this tournament. Please be praying for them that they would perform well, for them to enjoy traveling to a new country, and that they would have opportunities to share the Gospel with the other players!

At Koro Farm the girls at Christine's House of Anointing have been busy honing their baking skills to make tasty treats for the farm, and for the rest of the community with a bakery stand. This is a great way for these girls to increase their skills and their confidence! Just look at the joy on their faces!

While the Lifepoint Church team was in Uganda, they were able to dedicate this Annex building in the name of one of their very own, Jessica Embry. She was a young woman from the US who tragically lost her life while rescuing two children from drowning last year.

She was loved by the Sports Outreach team and this Annex will serve as a reminder of her service and heart for the ministry. She loved the ministry so dearly, visiting more than once and spending an entire summer at Koro, volunteering in many different capacities. As a tribute to her dedication and service, these guest accommodations were named in her honor with a plaque stating "Jessica had a servants heart and she gave her life so two young girls could live."

We are grateful for the service, life, and ministry of Jessica and that the team could honor her in this way.

El Salvador sports continue to flourish!

Sports Outreach El Salvador Soccer programs start early to begin training the kids in the sport and in the Gospel as early as possible. As they grow through the programs, they are able to form deep relationships with the SOI staff, coaches, and volunteers. This creates long-term discipleship and causes the biggest impact on the kids lives!

Thanks to a generous donor, Sports Outreach Kenya received 8 new sewing machines along with other equipment, beauty and hair teaching supplies, and more sports equipment! With these donations, the ministries in this area will be able to expand, creating more opportunity women in this community can be taught how to use these tools to grow their own businesses and support their families!

Please join us in praying for this community and specifically these women and the Sports Outreach staff; that they would grow not only in their skills but also in their love and knowledge of God!

Last month the Northern India teach including Coach Muan and many volunteers, came together to put on a multi-day camp for the kids in their community! 24 kids came to play sports, participate in seminars, and receive counseling. During the camp all 24 kids decided to follow Jesus!
