On April 13, 2026 our chapter, in partnership with Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest, welcomed a group of naturalized citizens into the United States. The Chapter provided breakfast for the new citizens and their families and our Regent, Jean Driscoll helped conduct the ceremony.

Be on the lookout for the “Figures of the American Revolution” stamps next year. They will feature 25 portraits of individuals who contributed to our nation’s fight for independence.

The U.S. Postal Service recently announced many of the stamps it will release in 2026.

Of particular interest is "Figures of the American Revolution" that pays tribute to 25 individuals whose ideas, leadership and sacrifices were vital to achieving American independence and shaping the new nation. Representing a range of roles and perspectives, from political thinkers and military leaders to writers, diplomats and everyday citizens, the honorees reflect the collective effort that defined the Revolution.

Our chapter was honored to partner with Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest for another Naturalization Ceremony in honor of the 238th anniversary of the Constitution. We welcomed 26 new citizens and provided breakfast pastries and coffee as well as being involved with the court ceremony.

District III met Aug 2 at Historic Berry Hill in South Boston, VA. Several Blue Ridge daughters attended enjoying the presentation by Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest staff on the District III project to sponsor a exhibit for a collection of pearlware in a pattern which Thomas Jefferson used at Poplar Forest.
