Sent With Love Motts Sending love to warrior families and their caregivers. We send HOPE! This stirred an idea in my soul. Please let me know if you’d like to join us.

My son was being treated for AML when I met many parents in the hall, family lounge, and in other parts of CS Mott Children's Hospital. During our stay, he was incredibly blessed by mail from loving friends and family and even strangers. When a recovering teenage friend was going thru very hard days, it occurred to me that mail could make a difference - even mail from complete strangers. We prayed

and our letters/small gifts made such a positive impact that we decided to share it with other families. I praise God for this idea to use one of my favorite activities - letter writing - to make a substantial difference in people’s lives. A special thanks to our members that have made this idea a reality. Our goal is to send SWL card and packages to each selected family year-round. -Jennifer

2 years ago today was my first experience of getting “the call”. Little did I know, we’d have that experience three times. The first one fell through, the second resulted in eventual liver failure and praise God we received the third notification just in time. So incredibly grateful that Isaac is thriving and we aren’t “regulars” at Mott the last few months. It’s been a wonderful reprieve.

🪨🎨 Some of the best KidsFest memories are the ones families get to take home.

A huge thank you to Tom's Garden Stones for helping make this year's KidsFest extra creative and memorable, like they have the past couple of years! Warrior Families had so much fun painting handmade stones, transforming them into colorful keepsakes to remember a joyful day together. 💛

That excitement was contagious! From flowers and hearts to Michigan-shaped stones, every piece invited families to slow down, create together, and enjoy a moment of fun.

At Sent With Love, we believe experiences like these matter. During seasons filled with appointments, treatments, and uncertainty, creative moments can provide a welcome opportunity to laugh, connect, and simply enjoy being together as a family.

Did you know? Kids who are encouraged to practice gratitude and feel thankful report higher happiness levels. 💛

At Sent With Love, we often hear from families who are thankful for the cards, gifts, prayers, and encouragement they receive throughout their journey. While we can't change a diagnosis, we can remind families that they are loved, remembered, and supported.

Sometimes gratitude grows from the simplest things: a handwritten note, a favorite sticker, a thoughtful gift, or knowing someone took time to think of you. Any one of those can impact a Warrior Kid and bring more happiness (which in turn can speed up recovery).

That's why we do what we do. Every card, care package, and special delivery is an opportunity to bring joy, hope, and encouragement to Warrior Families facing pediatric cancer and other critical illnesses. 💌

One of the simplest things we send is often one of the most loved: greeting cards.

Today, we're looking for cards with:
🐶 Cute animals
🌿 Nature scenes
💛 Encouraging messages

These cards become part of the personalized mail we send to Warrior Kids, siblings, parents, and caregivers facing pediatric cancer and other critical illnesses.

Sent With Love Warrior Kid Caitlin's mom recently shared:
💌 "I just got your birthday card! Thank you so much! We love everything! 🫶💕 Caitlin always gets so excited when your mail comes in!"

That's why we keep sending mail month after month. A thoughtful card can remind a family that they are seen, remembered, and loved during a difficult season.

We're looking for donations of greeting cards (maybe you have a stack not being used right now!) with uplifting messages, animals, and nature-themed designs to help us prepare future mailings, especially since we have Day In A Box card-writing kits going out constantly, and our stash runs low.

We love seeing young people use their time and talents to encourage others. 💌

Ava first discovered Sent With Love through an Instagram post and immediately signed up to write 40 cards through our Day In A Box program. She was so excited about what we do that she told her friend Natalie about us!

Today, Ava requested her second box, and together these two amazing teens (1st photo) are writing 80 cards for our summer mail. ☀️✨

And speaking of Natalies...

Natalie, mom to Sent With Love Warrior Kid Elliott, recently organized a card-writing event at YenFeng Automotive (2nd & 3rd photo). In honor of Brain Cancer Awareness Month for Elliot, employees came together to write 70 cards for families in our program. 💙

Two different Natalies. Two different stories. One shared goal: helping families with pediatric illnesses feel seen, loved, and encouraged.

Whether it's gathering coworkers to write cards or spending the summer writing cards from home, every card makes a difference.

One of the things that makes KidsFest so special is seeing children leave with a smile... and sometimes a one-of-a-kind caricature! ✏️😊

A huge THANK YOU to Marktoons Caricatures for being a KidsFest sponsor and sharing his incredible talent with our families. Attendees loved watching their drawings come to life, and many left with a fun keepsake to remember the day.

A new volunteer at the event named Wanda shared that it was her, "favorite part."
