What great joy it brings to see so many boxes packed and ready to be filled by children who deserve to carry their belongings with dignity. ❤️

Each duffle bag will make its way to a foster child this year—a small reminder that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

So much work goes into getting these bags ready, and we are incredibly grateful for every volunteer, donor, and organization that helps make it possible! 🙌

Posts like this are why we keep showing up. ❤️

One of the parts of foster care that many people do not see is how our kids arrive after leaving their home. Many times they are bringing their belongings in grocery bags, trash bags, or even just in their arms- if they get to bring any personal things at all, that is.

Part of our mission of reducing trauma on removal day looks like restoring dignity so that their personal belongings, along with all the new things we give them, have clean bags to store them all in. They put those new bags with a special tag with their very own name on their shoulders so proudly each time.

Because of Duffle Bag Project, we are able to continue doing this for each of our guests we serve. They provide us with bags and Bibles anytime we are in need. Thank you for your mission and continuing to help us live out ours by changing the way foster care begins for each child that enters our red door! 🏠❤️

📦 Our volunteers have been working hard this month! We have shipped out a box to Isaiah 117 House Knox County IN and we have a couple of boxes ready to go to Beauty with Heart Foundation! ❤️

Hi!
My name is Cherie Norris and I am the Donee Coordinator with Duffle Bag Project as well as serving on the Embroidery Team.
As Donee Coordinator, I keep track of all the organizations that we provide with duffle bags. They contact me when their organization is in need of duffle bags and I place them on the Request Board for a future shipment. I really enjoy serving on the embroidery team as we carefully embroider Joshua 1:9 on each duffle bag that we provide, knowing that each bag is going to a child who needs to know that they are loved and valued.
I became involved with Duffle Bag Project because it was a tangible way for me to serve the Lord and children in need.

I’ve been married to the love of my life, Mark, for 43 years. We have 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren, but our family is growing and we feel so blessed. These grands take up a lot of my time, but I do squeeze time in for scrapbooking, crafts & football 🏈!!!!
