Skagit County Superior Court Clerk's Office Announces Fee Changes


The Washington State Legislature has recently updated several fees administered by County Clerks. These revisions, outlined in House Bill 2543, must now be reflected in our fee schedule.

Effective June 11, 2026

Fee Category

New Fee

Non‑certified copies

$0.50 per page (electronic or paper)

Exhibit photos

$5 per photo

Digital exhibit copies

$25 per exhibit

Copies on electronic storage medium

$5 per storage medium

Audio/video recordings

$25 each (per court date)

Postage, mailing, and handling

$1 postage/mailing + $2 handling fee

Call for Applications for the Skagit County Planning Commission


The Planning Commission works with the Planning and Development Services Department and advises the Department and the Board of County Commissioners on proposed land use plans and regulations in unincorporated Skagit County. In 2026, the Planning Commission will be working on the siting of clean energy facilities, as well as other various code amendments regarding accessory dwelling units, flood damage prevention, and stormwater.

The Planning Commission consists of nine members (three from each Commissioner District) and usually meets twice monthly in Mount Vernon at the Commissioner’s Administrative Building. Meetings are broadcast live on Skagit 21 and archived online. More information about the Planning Commission is available at: www.skagitcounty.net/planningcommission.

There is currently one vacancy on the Planning Commission in District 2. This call for applications is for residents who live in District 2 of Skagit County and would like to be considered for a seat on the Planning Commission.

Planning Commissioners serve four-year terms. The applicant nominated for the vacant seat will continue serving a term which expires on August 31, 2027.

The Nutrition Educator provides nutrition and breastfeeding education, and conducts nutrition assessments for the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Program.
