Dear Family,

As many of you are aware, we had to reschedule our last Tri Annual Reunion because of the pandemic. In order to maintain our 3 year schedule, we will be having it August 5, 2023. We realize it has only been 2 years, not 3, but it will put us back on our original pattern of 3 years.

We have the East Hickman Community Center from 9 AM to 3 PM, August 5, 2023. We hope as many as possible will attend.

We will also post the information on Facebook.

As in years past, each family is asked to bring covered dishes that will provide enough for their family, plus one other, to allow for those who may come long distances, and may not have the opportunity, nor means, to prepare food.

The Cemetery Corporation will provide assorted soft drinks, ice, cups, plates, eating utensils and coffee. Anyone desiring anything else such as tea, punch or fruit drinks should bring their own.

There will be a charge of $1.00 per person to help offset the expense of facility rental. Buford McCord Park, just next door, is open with swings, a slide, walking trail and restrooms – a place for the young ones to let off some excess energy.

Many of you who don’t get to visit the cemetery often will be met with the absence of all the big pine trees. It broke my heart to have to make that decision but, the trees had been infected with boring beetles and becoming a danger to the existing monuments, fence and visitors. At least the cedars are still there. I hope to have the cemetery in good shape for the reunion (the Lord willing).

Only two weeks before our family reunion on August 7, 2021 at the East Hickman Community Center [5387 Hwy 100, Lyles, TN] from 9 AM to 3 PM. We hope that you can attend but understand if that is not possible.

Our next reunion will go back to the original schedule and will be held in 2023.

Dearest Family,

Because of the recent pandemic, we feel it would be prudent to postpone the family reunion until August 2021. Our concern is, not only, that we have quite a number of older family members that are over 65 and we don't want anyone to risk their health, but according to health guidelines we may not be able to gather.

We will keep everyone informed via Facebook and written communication. For now, stay safe and healthy!

Dear Friends and Family,

It is about five months until our next Tri-annual Jenkins/Jinkins Family Reunion. In the previous letter I said we had the East Hickman Community Center booked for Aug. 1, 2020. As fate would have it, I called to confirm our reservation and was told someone else had already been assigned that date and put down the deposit, so…instead we have the E.H.C.C. for the 2ND Saturday of AUGUST 8th, 2020 from 10 a.m. until… I hope this does not cause anyone too many problems. The woman taking care of the community center apologized profusely, but I understand three years is quite a long time to keep everyone straight. I feel we were fortunate to be able to secure the following weekend.
As in years past, each family is asked to bring covered dishes that will provide enough for their group and one other person, to provide for those who may travel long distances and may not have the time nor the means to prepare food.
The Cemetery board will provide soft drinks, cups, ice, plates, eating utensils and coffee. Anyone desiring anything else to drink should bring their own. The facilities has 2 stoves and a micro-wave for heating and re-heating food.
We will send out another notification with a map sometime in June. We hope all who can make the trip will do so. A lot happens in three years, so please bring memorabilia you would like to share.
As always, any donations for the up-keep and maintenance of the cemetery are greatly appreciated and needed. All donations are tax deductible and may be sent to:
