Helping Village Women and Children of Africa

Helping Village Women and Children of Africa We are a Christian based, tax exempt 501-C3, helping the weak, poor, and defenseless with basic needs, in Africa, America, and wherever else poverty exists.

EIN # 35-2384716 HVWCA was born in 2010 as a self-help project, to help all less fortunate people, in Africa. I had seen the need for help, first hand, when I lived on a refugee settlement, from November 2009 until March, 2012. I seen many people sick, and some dying, of malaria, cholera, hepatitis, tuberculosis, and more, not only on the refugee camp, but in the general population, and sadly, beca

use of no money, for medical care, and nothing to eat, to fight off the diseases, there wasn't anything their families could do, but watch as their loved ones continued to grow, weaker and finally die. I seen many people living in abject poverty, with no way out, that’s when I decided to do something about it, but on a small scale, I simply didn't have funds to do anything else. I started a small feeding program, for families, and payed some children's medical bill. I also noticed, that most of the children were not attending school, so I choose a handful of children and payed school fees. When it came time for me to leave, I couldn't close my eyes, leave, and forget about what i saw, and experienced. That's why this page exists, for those who need us, for those who are not equipped to help themselves. Please don't close your eyes, but instead, open your hearts, and know the satisfaction of helping the desperately poor, some who have not eaten for days, some who are now laying sick and helpless, perhaps dying, and some, that unlike our kids, have never had a chance to attend school. I am so blessed to have this privilege, but I can't do it without your help. With your help, we can change lives, we can save lives, and we can pull people out of poverty, by sending children, and others to school. My wish is that some day soon, poverty will be a thing, of the past, and we will no longer be needed, but until then please help, by visiting our website, and making a one time, or recurring monthly donation. Thank you for helping HVWCA, to reach out to those in need. www.hvwca.org

The following videos are of a slum called Mathare located in the Middle of Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. With a population of approximately 250,000 the shanties are writtled with poverty and disease. With no sanitation or waste recepticles no fresh water supply human and garbage waste sits in the narrow passage ways causing sickness and death. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to facilitate waste control and a fresh water source. Filmed by an HVWCA field worker who lives nearby.

Hello everyone, Debbie Sandy (CEO) posting for Helping Village Women and Children of Africa. Wanted to update on the happenings of HVWCA. We just gained new sponsor's for our family sponsorship program, and are so grateful. We thank you, from your sponsored families. God Bless! See photos below: We are also starting a few fundraising campaign to help provide an orphanage we are working with, in Liberia, with things, such as rent for the orphanage, electricity, clothing, food, water, school supplies, medical care, and other basic necessities, and are looking for volunteers to donate their time and energy, in an effort to raise $5,000, hopefully more, if possible. This will be used to help expand the orphanage as well, as it has grown from only 20 children to more than 70, because of the past Ebola outbreak. I was just informed, that currently there's only enough food and water left for about three weeks, so it's essential to raise at the minimum $2,500. Please help, it only takes a few minutes to share this post, with your friends, to encourage them to help as well, or to donate towards our cause. If everyone reading this post will donate at least $5 and encourage friends and family to do the same, I know we could reach half our goal, in no time at all. Please help, the children's lives are at risk. Thank you and may God Bless you for your efforts. The other three photos are of most of the children in the orphanage, with Mr. John Davies, his wife, and teachers, in Monrovia Liberia.

The children here are in need. Their father is mentally ill. He has left their mother, to care for them, but with no education, and because of gender inequality, it is impossible for her to care for them. They do not have food to eat, and none of them are attending school. They are in desperate need.
