Over the past two weeks, Skip Program’s Poverty Alleviation and Hunger Relief Program provided to households in the community….

• 110 emergency appointments
• 5 pallets of food (approx 5,000 pounds)
• 5 pallets of pet food (approx 10,000 pounds)
• 1,000+ merchandise items

All appointments are 15 minutes.
If you have an appointment scheduled today, please do not park in business lots or the parking lot at the old doctor’s office across from Dairy Queen. The old doctor’s office across from Dairy Queen is where the Dairy Queen employees park.

Skip Program is currently scheduling for this distribution on Sunday May 3rd. We will be accepting appointment requests until 6pm today.
We are prioritizing households who have not had an appointment for 30+ days.

Skip Program’s Emergency Pet Pantry will be distributing Freshpet this weekend.
(Picture of donated product below). This is the product that will be distributed during emergency appointments this weekend.
It is puppy food, which means it has a higher amount of protein than adult dog food.
Households who request an appointment for the Emergency Pet Pantry must have a pet at risk of starving or being surrendered to a shelter.
You must own the pet.
The pet food cannot be sold, traded, or provided to other organizations.
Animal shelters (including fosters) are required to apply to our Pet Food Bank in Dalmatia and cannot pick up pet food in Lykens.
We have a limited amount of food available for the community.
Donations are not accepted at the Lykens building. The distributions are free. Pictures of pets enjoying the food are accepted and loved.🙂

Households interested in requesting an appointment for Sunday afternoon, please wait and message us tomorrow between 4pm-6pm.
This helps the person doing the schedule find your message easier. (Newest messages are on top). Also, we receive more appointment requests than we can accept.
Please send a private message tomorrow Saturday 4/2 (time stamped 4pm-6pm) if you would like to request an emergency appointment for Sunday 4/3.

Skip Program currently has 30+ animal rescue partners who pick up food and supplies at our Pet Food Bank and over 900 households registered for our Poverty Alleviation and Hunger Relief Program.
We know times are hard. We are working on increasing funding and donations.
