A message from Ryan and Katie:
How do we begin to say thank you?
To our family and friends who stepped up in a way we never expected...we'll spend our lives trying to thank you for what you've done for our family. I choke up every time I think about it. The countless hours of planning never, ever went unnoticed. We must have done something right in this life to deserve to be surrounded by these amazing people. I truly think they pulled off a miracle yesterday. To our crew of miracle-workers...we love you so, so much.
To those who donated their time, effort, food, drink, raffle and auction items - thank you!! l've never seen that many raffle baskets or that lively of an auction. It wouldn't have been possible without you all.
And to our community, both near and far... you've taken our breath away. The planning committee estimates that nearly 2,000 people showed up throughout the day. I said it over and over yesterday, this community is unique. This would not have been possible anyplace else. We show up for each other and that was on full display yesterday. I just couldn't believe my eyes when we arrived and we wish we could have talked to every single one of you. Ryan and I look forward to how we can pay this forward throughout our lives. Thank you just can't come close to the gratitude we feel towards every person who stepped through the doors yesterday or supported us from afar. We love you all.
We move forward now as a family, continuing to fight but also focusing on all the things in our lives that have nothing to do with cancer. We can do that more fully and with a little less on our shoulders because of every single one of you. How do we begin to say thank you for that type of gift? Words simply won't do it, so we will strive to show it and live it everyday, for the rest of our lives.
Life truly is better together 💗🦬🩶
