Small Town Sports Athletes of the Week Sponsored by Whitaker Drugs Greenville

The Small Town Sports Male Athlete of the Week is Tanner Sexton from Highland Home.

Tanner delivered a dominant performance on the mound against McKenzie, tossing a 7-inning complete-game one-hitter. He struck out 11 and walked just one batter.

He also led the way at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs and scoring five runs as the Squadron finished 2-0 on the week.

The Small Town Sports Female Athlete of the Week is Rashiya Berry from Luverne.

Rashiya continued her strong season in the circle, striking out 13 over seven innings against Highland Home while allowing just two earned runs.

Offensively, she went 3-for-6 and scored twice across two games last week.
