My community project. Karen's Coat Closet collects, cleans and mends coats and donates to all in need. I thought "I can do something about this".

After seeing a women on the corner near our home in the middle of winter without a winter coat, I went home and I got one of mine to take to her. I started thinking how simple it was just to give someone a coat to help them. After talking it over with my husband and our son we developed Karen's Coat Closet. We collect, mend and clean coats to donate to all in need. This project shows just how litt

le it takes to give back to the community while teaching our son the lesson of giving back. We average 600 coats a season and it grows every year. Our community project has been a blessing in our lives and in the lives of so many more.
