Our mission remains the same: GB Charities sponsors promising children from hard-working, low-income families living in at-risk areas, by paying their tuition at accredited faith-based schools.

WCS proudly supports GB Charities, an incredible nonprofit organization sponsoring promising children and adolescents from hard-working, low-income families by assisting with their tuition at accredited faith-based schools through scholarships. WCS proudly sponsors multiple GB fundraisers annually, including their golf and bull roast events, and WCS attorneys have even served as GBC members.

Join the Meghan B. Merkert Foundation for their Pickle & Paddle Tournament and Social on March 21 at Roland Run Club from 12–5 PM.

Last year’s event brought the community together in Meghan’s memory and raised nearly $10,000 for scholarships supporting families in need. This year, they’re hoping to make an even bigger impact.

Whether you play paddle, enjoy pickleball, volunteer, or just stop by to cheer everyone on, it’s a fun afternoon for the whole family. Expect food and drinks, games, giveaways, pickleball courts, and even the Kona Ice truck.

Teachers and kids under 21 attend free!

Come out, show your support, and help continue a beautiful tradition honoring Meghan and the community she loved.

This year’s Bull & Oyster Roast was one for the books!

For the first time ever, GB Charities scholarship recipients were in attendance and able to be in the same room with the community that supports them.

Topping the chart for most powerful moment of the night: GB Charities Scholarship Recipient Candy H took the stage and spoke from the heart. A Sisters Academy Class of 2023 graduate and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Class of 2027, Candy reminded us exactly why our mission matters.

Because of our supporters, students like Candy have access to opportunity, education, and a future filled with possibility.

Thank you for showing up, giving back, and making moments like this possible. 💙
