One team, one fight…
Please Read: Kathryn Rivers’s office on base is collecting items to send to three Squadrons from PAX that are deployed and deep in fight. Some have been at sea for nearly nine grueling months, facing immense physical and mental challenges.
They have a command-wide effort to send care packages to VAW-117 Wallbangers, VAW-121 Bluetails, and VAW-124 Bear Aces. Your contribution, no matter the size, will be a powerful boost to morale for our warfighters.
They are collecting items for the care packages as well as monetary donations to help with shipping and purchasing needed items. Below is a list of suggested items:
-Personal Notes: Cards, letters, and drawings from you or your family members.
-Quick Meals: Ramen, Easy Mac, instant oatmeal,
-Snacks: beef jerky, nuts, trail mix, protein bars, and candy
-Comfort Items: ChapStick, sunscreen, scented soaps, loofahs, and baby/dude wipes.
-Flavor Boosters: Hot sauce, various seasonings, and powdered drink mixes.
-Recreation: Magazines, decks of cards, and puzzles
Note: Please avoid items that can easily break, crumble, or melt, like chocolate or cookies.
Drop-Off Information - Items need to be dropped off at American Legion Post 274, 11820 HG Truman Road, Lusby, MD 20657, by Saturday, April 4. Kathryn will pick up and deliver to base.
