Shocked by the loss of Shelley Johannesen while climbing in the Himalayas.

We crossed paths occasionally at adventure racing events. I often struggle to connect with others, even in a community as friendly as adventure racing. That was never a problem with Shelley. While awkwardly standing around at a race I always felt comfortable approaching Shelley for an easy smile, conversation, and comraderie. She made everyone feel like a close friend and was always willing to pitch in and help. What a great role model whose loss leaves a great void in the cosmos.

Our thoughts go out to Shelley, her family, Dave, the Sherpa crew, and all who are feeling the loss right now.

Complete standings through Day 2 of the Cerberus Expedition Stage Race presented by Adventure Source and TanZ Navigation.

The top spot flipped after last evening's night orienteering course. Teams have one last day to make any moves and be recognized as the Tamer of Cerberus!

Day 2 standings for Cerberus Expedition Stage Race:

All cleared the short paddle & bike in about 6 hours with the top 6 teams only separated by 15 minutes. The Night Orienteering course started at 8:30pm and as of this post, Enabled Tracking is the first to return, overcoming their 11th starting position.

The Day 2 intra-day competitions:
Bald Mountain KOM/QOM goes to a Mountain Goat Adventure Girls.
Fastest Paddle taken by Enabled Tracking.
