Please leave the packets out there for the wildlife.

If you see a low-flying helicopter or airplane across the state over the next few weeks, no worries! It's just the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Vermont Health dropping oral rabies vaccine bait blister packs for raccoons and skunks. They don't harm people or pets — but please, leave them for wildlife to get eaten 🦨🦝

The improved boat ramp is back open.
Word around the pond is that the slope has increased and it's now much easier to get boats launched.

Update: The game wardens came out this afternoon. They were unable to capture the loon and remove the fishing lure.
The loon has been diving and they believe the lure will eventually rust out on its own.

Just wanted to make everyone aware there is an injured loon on the pond. The Vermont Center for Ecostudies has been contacted. Please stay away from the loon, we are getting it the help it needs!

Good morning! Just a friendly reminder there will be no additional calendars ordered this year so preorder yours today! Venmo or just send us a message that you’d like one with your intended form of payment cash/check. They will be available Labor Day weekend for pick up! If you can’t pick up we will ship to you at no additional cost.

Calendars will be available for pickup starting Labor Day weekend.
If you can’t make it, we’ll ship it to you.

The VT Agency of Natural Resources has notified us that a "filter curtain" will be installed at the Neal Pond boat ramp tomorrow(Tuesday, 7/22). This is in preparation for the project to begin in earnest on Wednesday or Thursday of this week. There is a strong chance that the boat ramp will be unavailable for the upcoming weekend (July 26 and 27, 2025). Please plan accordingly.

We are pleased to announce the details on our 2026 NPCOA Calendars which exclusively feature photos taken by you, the pond community:

-Calendars will run from January 2026-December 2026.
-Only 50 Calendars will be printed, first come-first served. Once they're gone, they're gone.
-Price: $25.00/each
-Calendars will be distributed at the pond on Labor Day Weekend 2025.
-Pre-Orders will start being accepted at this weekend's annual meeting. You can pay via check made out to 'NPCOA', cash or Venmo.
-If you want a calendar but can't make it to the meeting, email us at [email protected] and we will direct you.
-If you want a calendar but can't make it to Neal Pond on Labor Day, we will make arrangements to get you the calendar at no additional cost to you.
