Announcing LIFE’s 6 x 6 Art for All fundraiser for 2024! Pick up a blank Claybord Art Tiles from the farm stand at and create art! Once you’re finished, drop your tile back to the farm stand on or before November 8th - there’s a label on the back for your name and the title of your work.

Important note: please complete the information sheet when you pick up a tile, providing your name, phone # and email so we can keep you updated over the coming month. We have a limited number of tile, so please only take one if you know you’ll be able to complete it - thank you for understanding.

The art will be auctioned online again this year during the Artist Studio tour weekend (16/17th November). The gallery of all art will be available to view during the tour at .box

Thanks to your creative endeavors over the past couple of years, we’ve been able to support education on Lummi Island! We’re looking forward to showcasing your talent again this year.

The Lummi Island Loop 11k & 5k Run/Walk to Benefit Lummi Island Foundation for Education is back! All proceeds go to support education on Lummi Island.

Enjoy a Sunday morning loop of our beautiful island on October 6th, 11am. Our new out and back 5k route features scenic views of Rosario Straight for the entire length as well as a mostly flat terrain with a few gentle hills. The 11K course around the north end of the island offers scenic views of the sea, forest and farms of Lummi Island with a fun variety of hills and soft curves. Choose to run or walk the 5k or 11k course. All ages and abilities are welcome, so bring your friends and family. Kids under 12 race for free!
The race will start at the Salish Center on Legoe Bay and it will end there as well where we'll celebrate the racers with some music and food! T-shirts will be available to pre-order very soon so keep an eye out for that update here.

🎬✨🎥 LIFE’s Filmmaking Summer Camp has only 6 spots left!

During this 5-day filmmaking summer camp, aspiring young storytellers aged 9-14 will really get to see how films are made as they plunge into the entire movie-making process from developing a story, shooting and editing and learning about acting for film as they fill all the roles. Campers work in groups as they focus on both the basics of the art of filmmaking and the collaborative experience. And best of all, campers will have a short film to screen by the end of the week.

Dates: July 29 - August 2, 10am - 3pm
Location: Beach School, 3786 Centerview Road, Lummi Island, WA 98262

Registration cost: $100/child, however LIFE is offering a sliding scale and no child will be turned away. Please email us if you need financial assistance for your child to attend camp —> [email protected]

Camp Instructors and the Seattle Film Institute: The filmmaking summer camp is sponsored and supported by the Seattle Film Institute (SFI). Instructors have been trained at SFI in both production and acting and bring a wealth of experience and passion to this camp. Seattle Film Institute is the region’s only accredited film school and offers programs and degrees in every facet of filmmaking. SFI is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and David Shulman, its president and founder, can be found in the condos with his wife, Sam on Lummi Island.

LIFE’s Annual Thanksgiving Pie Sale! The LIFE board will be getting together before Thanksgiving to bake pies for our community. Pie choices are Maple-Pecan, Pumpkin with Crunchy Gingersnap-Pecan Layer, and Apple Crumble with Lummi Island Apples. All pies have gluten-free options.
How to order: You can order online via the link in our bio or you can fill out an order form at The Islander or Full Bloom Farm.
When to order: Now! Deadline to order is Nov 16th at 5pm for pick up at The Gathering Place 10-1pm on Nov 22nd.
Pricing: Suggested donation is $20/pie. If you would like a pie but if the cost is prohibitive, please email us and we’ll add you to the list![email protected].
