It's not always pretty! 😊

Sometimes, despite everyone's best efforts, produce arrives that just isn't suitable for donation. When that happens, our work isn't done.

That’s when our incredible volunteers roll up their sleeves and tackle the less glamorous side of food rescue—removing produce stickers one by one so the fruits and vegetables can be properly composted rather than sent to a landfill.

It's dirty work. But, it's important work. And even, fun when you're working alongside friends, sharing stories and laughs.

At Rolling Harvest Food Rescue, we're committed to making sure that every pound of food ends up in the best possible place—whether that's on someone's table or enriching the soil through composting.

A huge thank you to our volunteers for taking on the tasks that often go unseen. You help us reduce waste, care for our environment, and honor the value of every harvest.💚

Thank you to the team from Verus LLC for volunteering on the farm! They spent the day planting bell peppers, weeding the beautiful collards and harvesting fresh asparagus - all for donation to local food pantries.

Volunteer days like this make a real difference, and we are so grateful for their energy, teamwork and commitment to giving back. Every helping hand helps us provide more fresh, healthy produce to local families. 👐

Thank you, Verus for supporting our mission! 🫑🫜🫛

We're excited to welcome our Summer Nutrition Intern to the Rolling Harvest Food Rescue team!

This summer, Sana will be working alongside our Nutrition Education Outreach team to help bring healthy eating education directly to the community. Assisting with fresh produce distribution samples and healthy cooking guidance to supporting cooking demos, Sana has already jumped right in and is making an impact!

A special thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Washington Crossing-Yardley for making this nutrition internship possible and for supporting healthy eating education throughout the community.

Please join us in giving Sana a warm welcome!

Happy Mother's Day to the moms, grandmothers, caregivers, and mother figures who nourish our communities with love every single day. 💐

We see the power of care in action every day - in the volunteers who pack meals, deliver food, and make sure no one goes without.

Today, we celebrate the women who teach us compassion, resilience, and the importance of sharing what we have with others.

As we honor mothers everywhere, we're reminded that food is more than nourishment - it's comfort, connection, and love. 🩷

Our appreciation doesn’t end with Volunteer Recognition Week or National Volunteer Month. We are grateful for our volunteers every single day of the year.

Every day, you show up—rescuing fresh produce from local farms, helping distribute healthy food throughout the community, and getting your hands in the soil planting, weeding, and harvesting. Because of you, more food reaches more people, and less goes to waste.

This month may shine a spotlight, but your impact is constant. To everyone who has volunteered with us: THANK YOU.

Interested in getting involved? We’d love to have you join us! No experience needed, just a willingness to show up and be part of a community doing something meaningful – and fun!

This Volunteer Recognition Week, we’re celebrating the incredible people who show up for our community no matter what 🌦️

Our volunteers don’t just give their time—they show up through it all. And if this April is any indication, that means everything: from 90-degree heatwaves to near-freezing mornings, sunshine, wind, and everything in between.

While most of us are checking the forecast and adjusting plans, our volunteers are layering up, cooling down, and continuing to serve with dedication and heart.

Our volunteers are committed to making sure everyone who wants healthy food can access it. That kind of dedication is truly remarkable.

To every volunteer who has braved the elements—thank you. Your resilience, flexibility, and generosity make a real difference, and we’re so grateful for all that you do!

We love our volunteer groups 💚

From corporate teams to schools, community organizations, and friends coming out together—group volunteers bring an incredible energy to our work. Whether you’re harvesting in the fields, packing fresh produce, or helping with distribution, these days are full of team building, impact, and … a lot of fun.

Thank you to Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church, My Peak Challenge, OceanFirst Bank and EY for supporting our mission to make nutritious food available to all.

It’s Volunteer Recognition Week, and we’re shining a light on the incredible people who make our work possible.

Our volunteers are the heart of everything we do - from rescuing fresh produce at local farms to helping distribute healthy food throughout the community to weeding the strawberries and asparagus and planting the onions and purple cabbage. 🍓🥔🫜🧅

Your time, energy and dedication make an immeasurable impact.

Whether you’ve been with us for years or just joined, your commitment helps us grow, expand our reach, and stay true to our mission. We simply couldn’t do this without you.

THANK YOU for showing up, pitching in, and making a difference every single day! 💚💚💚
