Col. Thomas Robeson Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution

The Board of Managers of the North Carolina Society of the SAR, at the request of the Lumber River Chapter, has approved a name change to the Col. Thomas Robeson Chapter. Col. Robeson was the commander of the Bladen County Militia during the American Revolution. Robeson County was carved out of Bladen County and named for this leader.
