📚✨ Kiwanians Celebrate Read Across Robeson! ✨📚

Throughout the month of March, our Kiwanians had the joy of participating in Read Across Robeson, one of our favorite community service projects! Our members visited elementary schools across Robeson County to read with second-grade classes and share the love of books.

Each second grader also received a book to take home, helping to inspire a lifelong love of reading. 💙

There’s nothing more rewarding than connecting with these amazing students and making a positive impact in our community. We are so proud to be part of something so special!

Happy 101st Anniversary, Key Club!

Key Club is the world’s largest student-led service organization. Through Key Club, high school students develop leadership skills and a heart for service. Students at Lumberton High School and Public Schools of Robeson County Early College are making a difference through Key Club service. These clubs are made possible by Kiwanis of Robeson-Lumberton.

Tonight’s Wild Game Social at Allen Brothers was a big hit! We enjoyed great fellowship and a unique spread of appetizers, including pheasant, bear, rattlesnake, and more. It was a fun evening of food, fellowship, and community.

A big thank you to everyone who came out and made the night such a great success!

In honor of International Women’s Day, we celebrate the remarkable women who have served as Presidents of the Kiwanis Club of Robeson-Lumberton.

From our first female President, Mary Winfree, to Lee Scott, Erika Nolley, and our current President, Audrey Stone, these leaders have helped guide our club with dedication, service, and heart.

Their leadership continues to make a positive impact in our community and beyond. Thank you for the difference you make and for inspiring the next generation of leaders!

This past week we had the privilege of hearing from the Chancellor of UNCP, Dr. Robin Cummings. It was wonderful to learn about all the great things happening at UNCP and to hear about the exciting plans for its future!

Read Across Robeson Book Packing.

Today, members of Kiwanis Robeson-Lumberton came together to pack books for Read Across Robeson, an effort focused on putting books directly into the hands of over 1,600 2nd graders across Robeson County.

Each book packed represents a child who will have the opportunity to build a love for reading and strengthen literacy skills. We’re proud to support our community’s children and grateful to our members who continue to show up, serve, and make a lasting impact.
