The transition of the Home Store into a Health and Disaster Resiliency Hub and formation of the new clothing closet for those in crisis is well underway! We will host an open house for each when they are completed to share our new vision with our friends and supporters. Clothing donations are still paused at this time.

With heaviest hearts we announced that a decades-long part of our legacy will be transitioning. The last day to shop at The Home Store will be August 31st, 2025.

Over the years we heard a lot of feedback that if items are donated to us then we shouldn't charge and while we were proud to provide jobs, boost the local
economy, serve as a worksite for community service, host youth groups from across the country, provide vouchers to victims of domestic violence, natural disasters and homelessness and offer quality goods to low-income individuals at affordable prices, we have decided that we will focus on serving only those in greatest need by establishing a clothing closet that will be completely FREE for those who qualify for a voucher.

Naturally, the clothing closet will be much more limited so we will be forthcoming about updates to our donation schedule.

We thank God for our beloved store and remember that things don't have to last forever to be special or greatly impactful. For our staff and customers who grieve this transition, we ask that you share a positive experience you've had with the store as a donor, customer or voucher recipient below in the comments.
