⚠️ Weather Alert for St. Charles Parish
Parish President Matthew Jewell and the Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness are monitoring heavy rainfall and Potential Tropical Cyclone 1 in the Gulf of America.

🌧️ The National Weather Service forecasts 4–6 inches of rain through Friday, with isolated areas receiving up to 10 inches. Flash flooding is possible, and a Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 a.m. Friday.

🪣 Self-service sandbag stations for St. Charles Parish residents are open at:
• West Bank Bridge Park, Luling
• East Bank Bridge Park, Destrehan

Please bring your own shovel and proof of residency, use sandbags only if needed, and check on elderly or homebound neighbors.

Residents with physical or mobility limitations who need sandbag delivery should call the St. Charles Parish EOC at 985-783-5050.

Parish President Matthew Jewell and the St. Charles Parish Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness are closely monitoring the heavy rain and Potential Tropical Cyclone 1 in the Gulf of America.

Self-service sandbag locations will open for St. Charles Parish residents only at the West Bank Bridge Park (13825 River Rd., Luling) and the East Bank Bridge Park (13244 River Rd., Destrehan) beginning the afternoon of Tuesday, June 16. Residents should use these sandbags only if needed and bring their own shovels and proof of residency. Please check on elderly and homebound neighbors to ensure they are prepared and offer to bring sandbags to those who cannot get to the stations.

Sandbag deliveries are reserved for those with physical or mobility limitations that prevent them from traveling to a distribution site. Please call the St. Charles Parish EOC at 985-783-5050 to request sandbags.

Due to a scheduled Entergy power outage for Harry Hurst Middle School, the St. Charles Parish Summer Food Service Program site in Destrehan will be closed on Thursday, June 4.

All meals will instead be served at R.K. Smith Middle School in Luling from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Department of Community Services at 985-764-7944.
